In Ghost Detective, you can encounter the following hidden object game modes.

Words Mode

This is the classical hidden object game mode. Here, you have to find the listed hidden objects in each scene.

All-of-a-Kind Mode

For this mode, you have to find multiple objects of the same type.

Pairs Mode

In this game mode, you have to find which object exists in the scene twice.

Silhouette Mode

This game mode challenges you to study the silhouettes at the bottom of the screen, then to find the objects that correspond to the silhouettes.

Sometimes, when Lost Souls cause Soul Storms, you will also experience a "one-at-a-time" effect. Instead of multiple items being listed to find, only one is active at once.
