Just like in real life, once you have said something, or done something, it cannot be un-said or un-done. Usually the Throng will double check with you on big decisions, but sometimes they will make judgements of your behaviour which are unflattering, and what’s done is done. If you wish to be judged well, take care with your answers and actions.  If you wish to try taking a different approach you can reset the game (and lose your progress), or replay after completion.
