This depends on where you are playing.

• Playing on Netflix using your TV: both you and your friend will need to pair your devices before you can start merging fruits.
• On Netflix.com if you play on PC: Only one controller is needed to begin. The player who started the game is automatically assigned as Player One and can use their keyboard or mouse to play, while their friend can join using their own device.  

Note: We recommend that both players pair their devices as controllers to get the best gameplay experience!
