The longer the word you find, the more points you’ll get. Scores are calculated based on the following criteria: 

• Longer words = more points:
  • 3-letter word = 1 point
  • 4-letter word = 2 points
  • 5-letter word = 3 points
  • +1 point for each additional letter in the word

If playing with friends or family, you can earn additional points by:

• Submitting unique words: in multiplayer games, if you find a word that no one else has, you’ll earn double points for that word.
• Successful word challenge: If your challenged word is rejected, you’ll score points for it only once (no unique word bonus).

There are no extra points for finding words faster or point deductions for finding invalid words.
